Sketch - Rabbit skull
For this sketch I looked at a reference image that I found on Getty Images, and drew the skull using white charcoal and black charcoal on toned paper. The toned paper gave me the midtones that were similar to bone in color, allowing me to focus on getting the highlights and shadows just so with the charcoal pencils.
