Woven Scarf
This scarf was made during Benjamin Krudwig’s Design on the Fly weaving design class at Interweave Yarn Fest in 2017. I love bold colors, so when I saw a bright fuchsia and magenta yarn on Benjamin’s table I knew I had to make something with it. From there my eyes fell on some pinstriped fabric strip “yarn” that would add movement and contrast to my project. I paired these with some plain black wool, and I made three stripes of color for the warp.
For the weft I added in a dark purple tweed, a few rows of purple handspun yarn, and some metallic embroidery floss to add some sparkle.
